Digital Desk: The first snowfall of the season fell in Arunachal Pradesh's Lower Dibang Valley area of Mayodiya.
Rain and snowfall have hampered automobile traffic on the route from Rowing to Myodia pass to Anini.
In light of the situation, the Lower Dibang Valley district administration has issued an alert, advising locals and visitors not to travel to Mayodiya Pass until road connectivity is restored.
Many roads in the state are snow-covered. As a result, the state administration has prohibited travellers from visiting the Mayodia pass.
About Mayodia Pass
Mayodia pass is about 56 kilometres from Roing in Arunachal Pradesh, at an elevation of 2,655 metres above sea level.
"Mayodia" is a Deori-Chutia term that meaning "mother goddess shrine". "Mayo" means "mother goddess", "Di" means "water", and "Ya" means "land". Because of the snowfall it receives during the winter, it is a popular domestic tourist destination.
